Different Kinds Of Golf Ball For Different Golfers

There are 3 basic types of golf balls on the market today. Let's look at their constructions and what type of golfer should use them to lower his or her total score.

Golf balls in different varieties:

2 piece balls

Generally suitable for beginners. They are hard, do not have lot of spin and are fairly inexpensive. Since it is easy to lose a lot of balls when you are a beginner, it is advised to use 2 piece balls and not spend lot of money on more expensive 3 piece balls till you gain some experience.

3 piece balls

Mostly used by pros. They are softer, have high spin and are relatively expensive. These balls allow you to have greater control of your shots so you have a better say on where the shot is going to land.

Distance balls

Distance balls are made for longer drives. They are hard and have little or no spin. These balls are used when you want to add extra yards and require little or no spin in your shots.

Spin balls

Spin balls allow you to add a lot of spin to your shots. These balls are a lot softer than the distance balls. These balls do not travel a lot of distance so their use is not recommended for longer drives. Use them when you need greater control over the curve.

Control balls

Control balls are helpful to get more control over your shots (both distance and spin). They are a lot softer than distance balls but are harder than spin balls. Use them when you require greater control over the flight of your shot.
